Greener Journeys will be hosting three fringe events at party conferences this year, entitled, Tackling pollution and congestion in our towns and cities
Transport Times in conjunction with Greener Journeys is staging fringe events at the Labour, Conservative and SNP party conferences which will focus on buses. The events are free to attend but are by invite only; please contact Kirsty Walton (email@example.com) if you are interested in attending.
The Labour and Conservative events are located outside the secure zones whereas the SNP event is located inside the secure zone and therefore you will be required to have a secure zone pass to attend. Refreshments will be provided at each.
Buses are a key part of the solution to our air quality and congestion crises. A modern diesel bus produces fewer emissions overall than a modern diesel car despite being able to carry 20 times more passengers. A double decker bus can take 75 cars off the road. By the end of this year local authorities are required to finalise their plans to tackle air pollution in their area, delivering the necessary NO2 reductions in the shortest time possible. Greener Journeys and Transport Times welcome delegates to these perfectly timed round-table events to examine the role of the bus in tacking congestion and solving our air quality crisis.
