Government LEP Assurance Framework Guidance (2016)

This document published by DCLG in November 2016 sets out the latest Government guidance for LEPs in producing assurance frameworks.

This document presents a revised version of the guidance originally published in December 2014.

The purpose of this framework is to ensure that Local Enterprise Partnerships have in place the necessary systems and processes to manage delegated funding from central Government budgets effectively.

The document covers:

  • Governance and decision making.
  • Transparent decision making.
  • Accountable decision making.
  • Ensuring value for money, including monitoring and evaluation.

Local assurance frameworks must be published on each Local Enterprise Partnership’s website, and reviewed annually.
